Our peels use chemical agents to remove damaged superficial (outer) layers of skin to correct uneven pigmentation, sun damage and early signs of aging. We offer many different chemical peels.
Mild peels produce smooth and brighter looking skin. There is no downtime and people who have these peels can resume their daily activities right away (avoiding sun exposure). These mild peels should be repeated frequently (usually every 4 – 6 weeks) to maintain optimal results.
Glycolic Acid - Ideal for acneic prone skin types. This peel can be done on the face as well as the body.
Intermediate depth peels typically take about an hour to finish. These peels are reserved for people whose skin has more sun damage, more uneven pigmentation, and more visible signs of aging. After these peels are complete, skin might be red for a day and it is best to avoid sun for a few days.
Sensi Peel - Ideal for all skin types. This is an effective treatment for acne, pigment disorders, photo-damaged skin as well as smoker's skin.
Ultra Peel - Ideal for all skin types, this peel is similar to the Sensi Peel and provides a deeper exfoliating treatment.
Ultra Peel Forte - Ideal for skin types with more dramatic wrinkling, sun-damaged and acne scarring. This peel will effectively plump, smooth and hydrate the skin.
Moderate to deep peels used to be the hallmark until the advent of skin resurfacing lasers. These peels are recommended for people with severe sun damage and signs of aging. Although they produce dramatic results, there is considerable downtime. The depth of penetration can be altered with these peels to minimize the downtime.
TCA - Available is 25% and 30% treatments. Ideal for all skin types. This type peel helps to improve hyperpigmentation, fine lines and uneven skin tones. This peel has slight downtime which could last up to a week.
We prepare skin for 2-3 weeks prior to the procedure with Hydroquinone and other skin protective creams before the peel is performed.
