Harvesting fat can be a part of liposuction procedure. At the begining of the procedure-after the the area is anesthesized-fat is extracted and processed, filled into small syringes and small quantities are injected. When injected properly into the subdermal plane, most of the fat will be vascularized, thus becoming part of the area injected. Because small quantity injections take better, we store the fat and inject again in 4-6 weeks for better fill. The entire process takes between 30-45 minutes.
