LipoLite Laser Liposuction is a new, state-of-the-art, laser assisted liposuction technique, offering a safe and convenient alternative to traditional liposuction. It’s often the perfect alternative for those who cannot get rid of stubborn fat deposits through traditional means such as diet and exercise.
LipoLite is performed by Raj P. Chowdary, M.D. in our office under local anesthesia only. After the area is anesthetized with tumescent fluid, the laser beam is introduced into fat deposits through a small 1 mm cannula. The laser produces a bursting effect on the fat cells, creating a liquefying effect and facilitating the easy removal of fat. Incisions are small and scars are minimal.
Unlike traditional liposuction, LipoLite coagulates blood vessels in the fat, reducing post operative bruising. The heating effect of the laser also stimulates collagen, causing the skin to retract and tighten on its own.
Traditional liposuction alone does not have these advantages. If there is mild to moderate excess skin, then regular liposuction sometimes makes the laxity of the skin worse.
With the Laser Liposuction, this problem is resolved as there is an added advantage of skin tightening. For those who do their best with diet control and exercise—but are left with stubborn areas of fat deposits—this innovative procedure works very well.
