At Allentown Plastic Surgery Center's Medical Spa, we currently use the latest sublative technology developed by Syneron with the eMax system. Sun damage and the natural process of aging disrupts collagen and extracellular matrix producing wrinkles and skin laxity.
There are currently three types of rejuvenation for this type of skin.
Non-ablative: These are milder, gentler treatments with minimal down time but also produce variable results. These non-ablative treatments are good for cleaning up the surface of the skin.
Ablative: This new fractionated technology delivers high energy to tiny pixels in the skin to create injury and wound response. As the energy is delivered to deep dermal tissue, the repair produces increased collagen and matrix to create smoother and tighter skin. These are the CO2 and Erbium lasers. With these lasers there is considerable downtime.
Sbulative: The Syneron Company developed a new technology called Sublative which utilizes Radio Frequency delivered through tiny pinheads. There are three different settings ranging from moderate to severe which can be adjusted depending on the severity of the skin condition. It can be used for all skin types.
Our Medi-Spa for non-surgical skin care treatments offers such products as Botox® Cosmetic, many types of fillers like Restylane®, Juvederm Ultra™, natural fillers and many more.
This procedure uses a disposable laser head that has 64 small pins through which RF energy is delivered. We use a cooling device during the treatment, so there is no (or minimal) discomfort. Each procedure takes approximately 45 to 60 minutes. 3-4 treatments are required to achieve best possible results. There may be some redness which usually disappears in 12-24 hours. Three to four treatments are recommended for best results. There may be some redness which usually dissipates in 12-24 hours.
